Stefanie Pietras is a qualitative researcher specializing in behavioral health, disability, and health equity.

She currently serves as deputy project director on the Health Equity Review Initiative for the Massachusetts Department of Developmental Services. This review will culminate in a strategic roadmap with recommendations to advance health equity for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities and/or autism spectrum disorder. She is also the deputy project director for the Vaccine Resource Hub project, funded by the CDC Foundation, which reviews and curates content to help providers and community-based organizations increase vaccine equity and promote vaccine confidence among racially, ethnically, and linguistically diverse populations. In addition, she is currently investigating the barriers adults face when seeking a diagnosis for attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder for a study for the Office of the Assistant Secretary for Planning and Evaluation, and she will be interviewing people with lived experience to inform this work. Pietras previously served as the qualitative lead for the Evaluation of the Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic Demonstration.

Pietras has published in peer-reviewed journals, including Psychosomatic Medicine and the British Journal of Psychiatry.
