Lauren Coy’s work focuses on project and product management for federal Medicaid programs.

Since joining Mathematica in 2021, Coy has worked to provide support in both the Core Set and 1115 demonstration waiver space. Currently, she is one of the contract-level project managers as well as the State Leads Manager for the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) 1115 Demonstration Support Contract, which provides CMS with several types of technical assistance related to Medicaid section 1115 demonstrations. In these roles, she oversees teams that provide best practices in change management and operations support both internally across the project and externally to Medicaid clients. On the Technical Assistance and Analytic Support for the Medicaid and CHIP Quality Measurement and Improvement Program project, Coy leads development and continued optimization of the Quality Measure Reporting (QMR) system for Core Set reporting data collection.

Before joining Mathematica, Coy spent her career in the reproductive health and rights space, with a particular focus on access to contraception. She holds an M.P.H. from Columbia University and a B.S. from Tufts University.
