How do you drive cost-effective, evidence-backed solutions that improve lives, promote economic growth, and strengthen global stability?

At Mathematica, we partner with government agencies, NGOs, foundations, and international organizations to uncover what works—and what doesn’t—in global development. Using data, evidence, and technology, we help turn complex challenges into clear strategies that deliver real-world results.

We’re experts with deep sector and methodological knowledge and a team known for its commitment to rigor and objectivity. We challenge conventional assumptions, identify learning opportunities, and provide the evidence you need to shape programs, steward cost-effective investment, and make the decisions that create lasting impact for people and communities across the U.S. and around the world.

Overview

Our work spans a variety of sectors in more than 90 countries across Africa, Asia, and Latin America.
We reduce costs associated with traditional data collection by leveraging new data sources and technology, such as geospatial data analysis and remote sensor data collection.
In 2018, Mathematica acquired EDI Global, a high-quality data collection and evaluation partner with offices in Kenya, Tanzania, and the UK.
We are a learning partner that gains a deep understanding of the on-the-ground context through our partnerships and adapting our approach to align with client and stakeholder priorities.
