Evan Christo specializes in quantitative and geospatial analysis, particularly related to the environment. Since joining Mathematica in 2022, Christo has worked on projects in energy and climate, water and sanitation, and food and agriculture.

For the Impact Evaluation of Private Sector-Led (Village-Based Advisors) Extension Approach–Phase 2 project, Christo generated geospatial characteristics for farmer villages and assisted with matching and sampling. He also led the analysis and data reporting programming after the survey. For the Cost-Benefit Analysis of the USAID/Uganda Water Infrastructure Project, Christo contributed to the literature review, key informant interviews, and secondary data collection, and co-led the incorporation of this information into an interactive anticipatory cost-benefit analysis on four water-collection technologies.

Before joining Mathematica, Christo served as an AmeriCorps ClimateCorps fellow at the San Mateo County Community College District, working as a sustainability consultant within the Facilities department. Christo holds a B.A. in engineering sciences modified with environmental sciences and a B.E. in environmental engineering from Dartmouth College.
