Senior Director, Community Impact

Deliya Wesley is Mathematica’s Senior Director of Community Impact, focusing on how our work promotes optimal health and well-being for all, through impactful research and improved programs. She leads the development of a robust portfolio across a variety of government and philanthropic clients.

Wesley, a seasoned health services researcher, brings more than fifteen years of research, evaluation, and leadership experience to this role. Throughout her career she has focused on drivers of health decision-making and health information uptake, as well as the development and evaluation of health interventions to facilitate and improve decision-making for groups in different communities and contexts. Most recently, Wesley was a Scientific Director at the MedStar Health Research Institute, and an assistant professor at Georgetown University School of Medicine in the Department of Family Medicine.

In addition to establishing and building a portfolio of research at MedStar, Wesley has had research published in many peer-reviewed journals, including The Journal of Biomedical Informatics, The Oncologist, and the The Journal of Community Health. She earned her master of public health degree in epidemiology at The George Washington University School of Public Health and has a Doctor of Philosophy degree in public and community health from the University of Maryland School of Public Health.
