Bess Fleischman specializes in project and operations management involving analyzing project financials, monitoring project schedules, and overseeing all facets of the project to operate on schedule and within budget.
Fleischman works with human service programs to improve operations and service delivery using the Learn, Innovate, Improve framework, human-centered design techniques, and best practices in project and business process management.
Fleischman serves as the operations director for the Sexual Risk Avoidance National Evaluation and the Equity Technical Assistance Center contracts, where they ensure large and complex projects are operating efficiently and delivering high-quality services. Additionally, Fleischman serves as a technical assistance (TA) liaison for the Family Self-Sufficiency Demonstration Develop Grants Evaluation Support contract where they provide program TA to grant recipients using grant funds to conduct research and evaluations on their programs. Finally, Fleischman serves as a TA liaison on the Sexual Risk Avoidance National Evaluation where they provide support to grant recipients conducting local impact evaluations.
Before joining Mathematica in 2018, Fleischman served as an AmeriCorps volunteer at the Jewish Renaissance Medical Center in Perth Amboy, New Jersey. They hold an M.P.H. from Kent State University and a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
