Rahul Kumar is a senior director with extensive experience designing and developing data analytics platforms and software applications to improve customer experience, business development, and health care outcomes.
At Mathematica, Kumar is the systems lead for the Medicaid and Children's Health Insurance Program (CHIP) Business Information Solutions (MACBIS) project. In this role, he leads the design and development of DQ Atlas, an interactive tool that helps policymakers, analysts, researchers, and others explore and use quality data from the Transformed Medicaid Statistical Information System. He also leads the design and development of a data analytics platform and report repository for the Massachusetts Delivery System Reform Incentive Payment Program. The platform will allow community partners and community service agencies to access enrollment, utilization, and outcome reports that are generated from MassHealth Medicaid and Medicare data.
Before joining Mathematica, Kumar was the director of application development for MedPro Group, a health care liability insurance company. In this role, he managed a global information technology team and oversaw the design, development, and delivery of software applications for a variety of technology initiatives. He co-founded Cuttly, Inc., an on-demand home services company, where he led product design and application architecture and development. He was also a software architect at TransWorks.
Kumar holds an M.B.A from Indiana University and an M.S. in computer science from Western Michigan University.
