Rachael Jackson’s work spans a variety of topics and activities in value-based care and public health research, with a through-line of relationship-building and project coordination.

Currently, Jackson serves as project manager and expert panel deputy task lead for a project researching ways to improve uptake of COVID-19 testing and vaccination and routine vaccinations. They also serve as deputy task lead and content manager for a project supporting Center for Medicare & Medicaid Innovation pilot payment models by conducting educational events for model participants. Jackson is an active member of Mathematica’s Pride Employee Resource Group and Trans Inclusion Committee.

Before joining Mathematica in 2022, Jackson supported the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health’s COVID-19 outbreak response, engaged in freelance public health research and editing, and helped develop cost measures at Acumen, LLC. Jackson holds an M.P.H. in epidemiology and global health from the University of California, Los Angeles Fielding School of Public Health.
