Milena Raketic is a research associate in the Human Services Division. Her research focuses on quantitative and qualitative data collection and analysis of programs designed to support families. She has a deep interest in assessing and improving programs that promote well-being and address disparities through participatory research.
Since joining Mathematica in 2020, Raketic has worked on projects in nutrition, child welfare, education, early childhood, and family support. She contributed to reports for the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) Employment and Training Pilots Evaluation, a large, randomized evaluation of strategies to help SNAP participants find and keep jobs, increase their earnings, and improve their food security. On other projects for federal clients, she has analyzed early childhood and child welfare federal policies and program guidance documents to assess efforts to advance equity through existing data practices. In addition, she managed and led analysis for a survey study focused on participants’ experiences in one of Agape Child & Family Services’ programs. On education projects, she has supported semi-structured interviews and drafted memos describing the progress of foundation investment strategies over time.
Outside of her project work at Mathematica, Raketic volunteers as a Court Appointed Special Advocate. She received her B.S. in human and organizational development and political science from Vanderbilt University and is currently pursuing a M.Ed. in community development and action from Vanderbilt University’s Peabody College.
