Mario Gruszczynski specializes in evaluating and improving large models funded by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services Innovation Center. His work focuses on value-based payment reform, accountable care, primary care transformation, and health-related social needs.

Mario leads the learning system for the Accountable Health Communities Model and supported accountable care organizations through a learning system and technical assistance contract. He also conducts qualitative research on the evaluation of the Primary Care First (PCF) Model, seeking to understand the experience of model participants and payer partners. Before the PCF evaluation, Mario served in similar roles for the evaluation of the Comprehensive Primary Care Plus Model.

Mario joined Mathematica in 2017. He holds a B.A. in social relations and policy from Michigan State University.
