Liz Glaser specializes on systems-level improvements that help youth to succeed and thrive. Her work focuses the programs and policies that influence a young person’s completion of high school and journey through postsecondary. She is an AmeriCorps alum and a college access mentor.
Since joining Mathematica, Glaser has worked on a range of projects focusing on different areas of education. Currently, she manages relationships with Kansas state and district partners as part of the Regional Educational Laboratory (Central); here she led students and teacher focus groups to build innovative new data collection tools for Kansas’ college and career programming called Individual Plans of Study. She also leads communications, disseminations, and convenings efforts with a range of stakeholders for the Education-to-Workforce Indicators Framework. Past projects include qualitative data analysis, development and dissemination of communications and tools for practitioners, and agenda development for learning partnerships.
Glaser was a Pell Grant recipient, which profoundly shaped her college experience, and joined the world of national education-focused nonprofits to influence policies that would support other students like her. Most notably, she led the GradNation Campaign at America’s Promise Alliance and regularly convened cross-sector partners to discuss – and solve – the challenges that prevent students from graduating high school and transitioning to postsecondary education.
She has an M.P.A. focused on education policy and management from George Washington University’s Trachtenberg School of Public Policy and Public Affairs. She is a member of the Mathematica Pride ERG and volunteers for an LGBTQ+ community organization in Philadelphia.
