Erin Panzarella specializes in Transformed Medicaid Statistical Information System (T-MSIS) data quality. She has expertise in T-MSIS data quality measures, data quality processes, and creating tools for reporting on and tracking data quality issues and data quality information.

Erin leads Mathematica’s work on Imersis, a cloud-based data quality tool designed to help state Medicaid agencies prepare T-MSIS data for advanced analytics and meet federal requirements. In this role she provides subject matter expertise on T-MSIS data quality including data quality measures and validation rules, prioritization of the product backlog, and translation of state client needs to the product development team.

Erin previously led work for the Centers for Medicaid & CHIP Services (CMCS) focused on improving T-MSIS data quality. In this role she oversaw the development and implementation of T-MSIS data quality measures, maintenance of state data quality reports, provision of technical assistance to states to improve data quality and provided subject matter expertise for requirements for T-MSIS data quality tools. She has also led analyses using the T-MSIS Analytic File (TAF).

Erin holds a Ph.D. in epidemiology from the University of Pittsburgh.
