Ella Pestine

Ella Pestine’s work focuses on managing technical projects and overseeing project operations, primarily for Medicaid initiatives. As a certified ScrumMaster, Pestine also helps coach project teams on incorporating agile methodologies into their workflows.

At Mathematica, Pestine has managed a variety of projects, including COVID-19 wastewater surveillance initiatives and the Alternative Payments Model Program Analysis Contractor project. She currently manages the data analytics workstream for the Medicaid and CHIP Learning Collaboratives’ Public Health Emergency Unwinding, and she is a project manager, ScrumMaster, and processing task lead on the Medicaid Upper Payment Limit project.

Before joining Mathematica, Pestine worked on the Food and Drug Administration’s Sentinel Initiative at Harvard Pilgrim Health Care Institute and Harvard Medical School’s Department of Population Medicine. She has an M.P.H. in epidemiology from Boston University.
