Danielle Jacobs is an analyst at Mathematica with more than five years of experience conducting survey research for a variety of populations. She focuses on improving population health by addressing the social determinants of health.

Since joining Mathematica in 2021, Jacobs has supported survey data collection, qualitative analysis, and technical assistance projects. She currently provides technical assistance to Iowa’s Department of Health and Human Services by supporting the development of training curriculums for case management professionals. Recently, Jacobs joined the Getting Further Faster project for the National Association of County and City Health Officials, where she co-developed an issue brief (“Rural Health and the Social Determinants of Health”) and coordinated focus groups with experts who provide health and social services to people living in rural communities. She has also supported the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s National Diabetes Prevention Program by researching best practices for incorporating equity into a new training module for lifestyle coaches.

Before coming to Mathematica, Danielle served as an AmeriCorps Healthy Lifestyles Coach at a federally qualified health center, where she used motivational interviewing to promote healthy lifestyles. Danielle holds an M.P.H. from the University of Michigan School of Public Health.
