Dae Hwang’s expertise includes project management (Scaled Agile, SCRUM, and Waterfall), business development, client and vendor management, and software application development. He has experience developing highly effective and cross-functional teams, integrating best practices, and developing more efficient processes and tools to meet client needs.
Hwang is currently the project manager for the Medicaid and CHIP Learning Collaboratives for the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services. The initiative enables agency officials to work closely with state officials to develop approaches to emerging issues and to convey essential information effectively to states.
Before joining Mathematica in 2018, Hwang was an engineering and software development manager at General Dynamics/Verscend, where he oversaw all aspects of management for applications and software development and supervised internal and external development resources. He also held positions at Xerox, the Baltimore County Office of Technology, Fetch Technologies, and the University of Colorado Denver and Health Sciences Center. He has an M.S. in information systems from the University of Colorado Denver.
