Christopher Weiss

Principal Researcher

Christopher Weiss has extensive experience and expertise in systematic evidence reviews, evidence-based policy, research methods, and evaluation.

Weiss serves in several roles for the What Works Clearinghouse Tools, Online Assistance, Standards, and Training (WWC-TOAST) project, including co-leading a working group of education practitioners to make WWC materials more useful and accessible. He was senior advisor for the America’s Promise Impact Evaluation of 22 job-driven grants, which estimated the impact of participation in grant-funded job training programs.

Weiss was formerly the team lead for WWC in the U.S. Department of Education’s Institute of Education Sciences. His research has been published in journals including American Journal of Education, American Journal of Public Health, Sociology of Education, and Social Science in Medicine. He holds a Ph.D. in sociology and demography from the University of Pennsylvania.
