Abigail (Abi) Philip is an associate director in Mathematica’s Enterprise Project Management Office (EPMO). Philip specializes in federal payment reform projects and has played a variety of roles on large, complex Medicare projects. Since joining Mathematica, Philip has managed multiple projects, including the Oral Health Initiative, the Evaluation of The Equity Project Charter School, the Community-Based Care Transitions Program, and the Transformed Healthy Start Evaluation Design and Plan project. In addition, she has served in a variety of technical assistance and leadership roles on disability and health-improvement projects including the Disability Analysis File, the Social Security Administration Disability Research Consortium, and Learning Systems for Accountable Care Organizations.
Philip manages the Payment Reconciliation Contractor project and mentors project managers working on federal payment reform projects in Mathematica’s Health Program Improvement Division. Philip also leads and supports EPMO activities to transform project management capabilities across the organization, educating teams on best practices, tools, and processes.
Before joining Mathematica in 2013, Philip held positions at an education start-up ConnectEDU and the Boston Park Plaza hotel. She graduated from Connecticut College with a B.A. in economics and is a certified Project Management Professional.
