Technical Expert Panel on Electronic Health Record Data Quality Best Practices for Increased Scientific Acceptability

The National Quality Forum convened a multi-stakeholder Technical Expert Panel to identify the causes, nature, and extent of EHR data quality issues. This work identified a set of strategies to address issues related to EHR data can support clinical quality measurement. The final report identifies solutions to address challenges that impact the development, endorsement, and implementation of healthcare performance measures that use EHR data and recommend actions for mitigating those challenges.
