Mathematica announced today that Leslie Foster, M.P.A., has been promoted to vice president of health policy assessment. She oversees the Research, Strategy and Analytics group, a team of more than 70 staff who generate and apply evidence to promote access, quality, equity, and cost containment in the U.S. health care and public health systems. The group’s clients include agencies within the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services and health foundations.
Over a career spanning more than 20 years, Foster has proven to be a trusted leader with expert technical skills, a passion for client partnership, and a commitment to staff development. Her own research has focused on consumer-directed home- and community-based services, telemedicine, all-inclusive care for the elderly, children's health care quality and access to health coverage, and implementation of the Affordable Care Act.
“Leslie represents the best of Mathematica—her deep commitment to this organization and its mission, and her focus on meeting client needs and ensuring exceptional project delivery, is evident every day in her leadership,” said Erin Taylor, senior vice president, managing director of health policy assessment. “We look forward to her expanding our mission-driven work, especially around health equity and public health data analytics.”
