Joint Statistical Meetings 2014
As the American Statistical Association (ASA) celebrates its 175th anniversary, more than 6,000 statisticians, researchers, academic leaders, policymakers, and students from around the world will convene on August 2-7 in Boston at the Joint Statistical Meetings (JSM). Several Mathematica experts will present recent research findings at the conference, participate in research review sessions, and moderate panel discussions. Mathematica senior fellow Michael Sinclair, a member of the JSM organizing committee, helped to develop the conference program; its theme is “Statistics: Global Impact-Past, Present, Future,” and it will feature a range of policy topics, including health care quality measures, measuring physical activity in children and adolescents by using competing methodologies, and addressing the challenges posed by measuring the size and health care expenditures of the Medicaid population.
