Together with our partners, we’re working to build a more equitable and just world, where evidence drives decisions for global impact. About the Mathematica team

Employee-Owned and Dedicated

Employee ownership is a way of life and source of pride at Mathematica. We are a 100 percent employee-owned company, with a profit-sharing plan and an employee stock ownership plan (ESOP) that benefit every member of our staff after six months of employment. The bottom line is simple: we all contribute to our mission, vision, and strategy, and we all have a stake in the results.

Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion

We believe insights that lead to impact begin with fresh perspectives and draw on diverse networks. Equity-informed and culturally responsive practices are fundamental to the professional services we offer in research, consulting, and technical assistance. Our Core Values

Mathematica Values Circle
These values and fundamentals are the practices that ensure we live up to our ideals as an organization dedicated to collaboration, equity, and inclusivity. They make us unique. And they are an essential part of the work we do with clients and partners to improve public well-being through rigorous and objective evidence-based decisions.

Our Commitment to Our Communities and Each Other

Mathematica has been a mission-driven organization for more than 50 years. But our definition of mission-driven has never stopped evolving. Today it describes not only our commitment to improving public well-being through the use of data and evidence, but also the way we engage with our clients, colleagues, and partners around the world. We are active volunteers in our communities, enthusiastic corporate sponsors for a range of non-profit events and organizations, and builders of sustainable shared workspaces that value climate consciousness, equity, and work-life balance.

Giving Back Where We Live and Work

Mathematica staff across the U.S. have a tradition of volunteering in the communities where they live and work. You’ll find our staff helping in soup kitchens and food pantries, building homes, mentoring youth, and sharing professional expertise and skills with non-profit organizations.

Mathematica recognizes these efforts through a corporate giving philosophy that translates volunteer work hours into financial support for each organization. Through sweat equity and direct support, we aim to make a difference.
