AmeriCorps Shared Impact in Communities Across the Country

The state of the evidence on the AmeriCorps impact in communities is strong. Evidence shows AmeriCorps programs can help communities effectively summit new heights and create value for those communities. This video highlights some of what the evidence says about the impact and return on investment of AmeriCorps funded projects.

The 2023 State of the Evidence Report synthesizes key themes from studies produced by or for AmeriCorps from 2017 to 2022 and describes where the agency seeks to make an impact in four domains: participants, partners, communities, and society. The synthesis includes publicly published findings from 116 AmeriCorps’ Office of Research and Evaluation research grantee studies, third-party evaluations, systematic reviews, meta-synthesis evaluations, and AmeriCorps ORE’s own research and evidence-building activities.
