We Can’t Be on the Sidelines: The Role of Human Services in Advancing Environmental Justice

Human services professionals are well positioned to serve as trusted messengers in the pursuit of environmental justice. There are a number of measures they can take to effectively leverage that position and proactively engage with other departments, agencies, and community partners to ensure that the populations they serve are not subject to inequities arising from the impacts of climate change.
