Letter on Leading Practices to Advance Equity within Federal Agencies

With support from a diverse array of staff across the company, as well as our Chief Equity and Inclusion Officer Dawnavan Davis, Mathematica President and Chief Executive Officer, Paul Decker has submitted a series of recommendations to the U.S. Office of Management & Budget (OMB) about advancing equity within federal agencies. Each recommendation is grounded in our commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion, and is informed by our ongoing journey of learning, which is informed by the perspectives and lived experiences of our clients, our partners, and by the communities we aim to serve. Decker’s letter aligns with the federal government’s goal to advance equity, which is described in the January 2021 Executive Order Advancing Racial Equity and Support for Underserved Communities.
