Learn, Innovate, Improve: A Practice Guide for Enhancing Programs and Improving Lives
Designed to be used in partnership with a research or technical assistance (TA) support team, this practice guide can help program leaders make evidence-driven decisions as they manage change. The guide is for people who are thinking about or implementing a program change, including those operating Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) or workforce programs. The guide supports use of Learn, Innovate, Improve (LI2), an evidence-driven framework and process to address common practice challenges and improve programs. LI2 and the guide can be used for program improvement, evaluation TA, or formative evaluation. Mathematica and The Adjacent Possible developed this practice guide under Project IMPROVE, supported by the Office of Family Assistance. The guide is intended to supplement a partnership with a research or TA support team, which may be either external to the program or in house.
