Jobs Generated by the Kosovo Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy Project
The Kosovo Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy Project successfully generated direct and indirect employment opportunities in Kosovo by financing energy efficiency retrofits and related activities. This case study seeks to shed light on the employment impacts associated with World Bank financing for energy efficiency and renewable energy investments in public buildings overseen by the central government as part of this project.
A team from Mathematica, consisting of Faraz Usmani, Duncan Chaplin, Patricia Costa, Sarah Leser, and Sara Bryk, collected background material and conducted upstream research for this case study.
