ACF Seeks Comments on Performance Measures Used in a Mathematica-Conducted Study

Nov 01, 2019

Paper and Pen graphicThe Administration for Children and Families (ACF) seeks comments on performance measures used for the Healthy Marriage and Responsible Fatherhood (HMRF) grant program. The programs are designed to strengthen families through workshops and other services that focus on promoting healthy relationships, positive parenting, and economic stability.

As part of ACF’s learning agenda to increase understanding of HMRF programs, the current cohort of HMRF grantees is collecting performance measures on a range of topics, such as services provided and client characteristics and outcomes. This information can inform program design, operation, and oversight for ACF, grantees, and other stakeholders. Mathematica provides evaluation technical assistance to the grantees and is conducting a cross-site evaluation of the programs.

ACF is seeking public input on potential refinements and updates to the current measures. ACF would particularly welcome input on the quality, utility, and clarity of the information to be collected and ways to minimize the volume or burden of the data collection.

Grantees, practitioners, curriculum developers, researchers, other stakeholders, and the public can review the call for comments and the performance measures through ACF’s website and send their comments by email to nformfeedback@acf.hhs.gov no later than Friday, December 6, 2019.
