Mathematica is pleased to welcome Ralanda Nelson to its leadership team. A certified diversity executive, she will steer the firm’s diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts and help ensure the employee experience is at the heart of everything we do.

Nelson comes to Mathematica from the National Society of Black Engineers, where she crafted engagement opportunities to bolster diversity hiring and develop the minority engineering pipeline. To support Black engineering students, she led scholarship fundraising efforts and designed and led diversity, equity, and inclusion training for higher education and corporate leaders.

Over the course of her career, Nelson also worked with institutional partners to develop inclusive policies, craft strategies for employee business resource groups, contribute to supplier diversity programs, and lead diverse talent sourcing and recruitment efforts.

“One of Mathematica’s core values is a deep commitment to diversity and inclusion,” noted President and Chief Executive Officer Paul Decker. “Ralanda’s impressive and broad-ranging background in helping companies and employees build a welcoming and supportive culture supports our mission. It also provides confidence and clarity every step of the way as we make progress together toward a more inclusive and equitable world.”
