More than 25 of Mathematica’s health policy experts will attend the AcademyHealth annual research meeting in New Orleans, Louisiana, on June 24 to 27. Researchers will take part in panel discussions, poster sessions, and presentations centering on this year’s conference theme: today’s research driving tomorrow’s outcomes. They will present on topics such as long-term services and supports, health care reform, quality measurement, research methods, and evidence-based decision making.
Agenda highlights include the following:
- Senior Researcher Kara Zivin chairs an interest group session on Understanding Behavioral Health Care Financing, Spending, and Service Use
- Senior Fellow Carol Irvin presents a paper during the session on Health Reform Impacts on Providers and Organizations
- Director of Health Research Senior Fellows Randy Brown chairs a session on Using Bayesian Analysis to Produce More Useful and Robust Estimates of Intervention Impacts, along with his colleague, Mariel Finucane
